  1. Highest amount of the amino acid, lysine.  Most grains lack lysine so people throughout the world eat beans with grains to make a complete protein.  Amaranth is a complete protein by itself.  It has enough lysine to make up for the lack in wheat.  Mixing wheat with amaranth makes as complete a protein as meat or fish. Sufficient supply of lysine builds bones and prevents warts and cold sores.  (1st way it builds bones)
  2. Builds bones with calcium and the nutrients that support calcium absorption to the bones. (2nd way it builds bones)
  3. Has more fiber than wheat.  Fiber is needed to prevent cancer and heart disease.  Fiber regulates digestion.
